Upcoming App Engine Books
Google AppEngine is about eight months old and has already spawned at least four upcoming books:
Pretty impressive for a framework that's still in "preview."
Hopefully, these books will address best practices and include
essential upcoming services like offline processing, bulk
backup/upload, and cron jobs. Without these services, it's hard to
answer simple questions like "showing a top 10 scores from a rolling 24 hour window."

Thanks for mentioning Developing with Google App Engine. The book will be available in paper format on 02.Feb.2009 and I believe you can already get the final version PDF from Apress.
