About Me

Half-Vietnamese. Half-Jewish. All mutt when it comes to interests and professional work. If you browse around, you'll see some of my interests, including writing, biomedical science, software, and internet business models. This site still uses the Drupal content management system despite my interest in Ruby on Rails. Yes, I'm lazy when it comes to this home page.

I am a Senior Scientist with the Stanford Simbios project, working on cardiovascular simulation software with the Taylor Lab. In my spare time, I scratch an entrepreneurial itch (see Writertopia) and work on creative writing. My short story, The Plastic Soul of a Note, won grand prize in the 20th annual Writers of the Future contest. You can find the story in the Writers of the Future Volume XX (Anniversary Edition) anthology.

Visit the Research page to get a glimpse of my past and present activities in science & engineering.
